SSD with Data Caching
Find out how your websites will have significantly better performance on a server, provided with SSDs with Data Caching.
A solid-state drive (SSD) improves the performance of every app running on it when compared to a classic hard-disk drive (HDD). The reason is that an SSD functions with a variety of interconnected flash memory modules, so there are no physical parts to move. In contrast, a hard disk uses spinning disks and each reading or writing process causes the disks to spin, so the speed of an HDD is fixed. Since the prices of the two types of drives are different as well, a large number of PCs and web servers are set up with an SSD for the operating system and various applications, and an HDD for data storage, thus balancing price and effectiveness. A website hosting service provider could also use a solid-state drive for caching purposes, so files which are used repeatedly will be held on this type of a drive for achieving improved loading speeds and for reducing the reading/writing processes on the hard-disk drives.

SSD with Data Caching in Hosting
The cloud platform where we make
hosting accounts uses only SSD drives, so your web applications and static Internet sites will load extremely fast. The SSDs are used for files, e-mails and databases, so regardless if you load a page or check for new e-mail messages using webmail, the content will load very quickly. In order to ensure even higher speeds, we also use a group of dedicated SSDs which work only as cache. All content that generates lots of traffic is copied on them automatically and is later read from them and not from the primary storage drives. Of course, that content is replaced dynamically for improved performance. What we achieve in this way aside from the improved speed is decreased overall load, thus reduced possibility of hardware failures, and prolonged lifespan of the primary drives, that is one more level of protection for any info that you upload to your account.

SSD with Data Caching in Semi-dedicated Servers
All
semi-dedicated server accounts that we provide are generated on a cloud platform which uses exclusively SSD drives. We do not use HDDs any longer, so your Internet sites will load very fast as we employ SSDs for each aspect of the service - files, databases and emails. As some people may host sites that can be more frequently visited than others, we also use numerous drives for caching. Our system finds all of the content which is accessed more frequently and copies it on these drives in order to load it from them. This configuration is used for load-balancing purposes as we guarantee that several reading/writing intensive Internet sites will not affect the performance of the other Internet sites which are stored on the same primary drive. Using caching drives also increases the lifespan of the main storage SSDs and lowers the potential for disk failures.
